Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: Director of Finance

Position Purpose: Responsible for timely and accurate processing and maintenance of payroll. Ensuring that all records, reports and files are organized and maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Process all Personnel Action Forms, including new hires, terminations, deductions, increases in wages, etc.
2. Continually maintain payroll files and employee master file data, including updating rates, dates of last review, evaluation dates, addresses, deduction changes, etc., as required.
3. Maintain employee vacation/PTO accrual. Ensure that all paid time off is available and approved by manager and/or Human Resources Manager.
4. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including the following:

• Distribute required time records timely.
• Process timesheets.
• Print and file all weekly payroll reports, including check register and labor distribution.

1. Gratuity reports and post to payroll files.
2. Reconcile lesson and cart income reports.
3. Make timely state and federal tax payments.
4. Wire retirement plan contributions timely in accordance with federal law.
5. Process garnishments and loans.
6. Provide the Human Resources Manager with requested reports, such as the monthly reports for evaluation, insurance invoice auditing, and benefit purposes.
7. Schedule and perform onboarding of new staff.
8. Perform any and all other duties assigned by supervisor.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Jonas Club Management and ADP Workforcenow Payroll Processing software experience a plus.
