Job Description
- Assist in the implementation, and management of HR processes, including: benefits administration & renewal; on-boarding programs; and talent development/performance management across the organization
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Set and oversee vacation and sick time accruals, usage, and roll-overs
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Work closely with the COO to implement any required HR or corporate activities, e.g. trainings, events, communications, etc
- Assist with administering HR policies and procedures and legal compliance, per the Operations Team
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and certifications.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Perform other duties as assigned including payroll.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.
- Desired: HR Certification (PHR and/or SHRM CP)
