Job Description
Human Resource Generalist position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support daily operations including, but not limited to:
- Creating a recruitment plan and calendar according to operation and sales projections
- Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, salary changes, review documents, personnel file letters, termination interviews
- Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations
- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
- Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities
- Collaborating with outside vendors, upper management and employees
- Advising managers in appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
- Manage the companies' software, phones, PC needs and office maintenance
- Support Omaha and upcoming Lincoln office with a 90/10 balance
- Travel will be required
- Hours are 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Requires at least 2-3 years related experience, preferably in a small or medium sized business setting (14-20 employees)
- Knowledge of HR techniques, applications and programs
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
- Must have strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to utilize and recognize ways to improve workflow efficiency and implement positive changes
- Able to work with limited supervision
