Now hiring for HR and Accounting Generalist. Full-time salaried position with benefits, Monday-Friday, 1st shift.
We are a privately-owned commercial printer with a 50/50 mix of office and factory workers. Our workplace culture is relaxed and friendly, with respect for every person and every position. We are seeking an experienced HR professional who enjoys helping people.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as HR in a diverse environment with a working knowledge of Nebraska state and federal labor laws.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate employee benefits programs and assist employees with enrollment
- Prepare annual compliance reports and other administrative reporting
- Address safety concerns and workplace accidents. Prepare and file reports related to those areas.
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Maintain employee records with complete confidentiality
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees
- Perform exit interviews with employees
- Mitigate employee conflicts and problems, acting as an independent party
- Aid managers in employee reviews and in disciplinary actions, including terminations
- Will contribute to other areas of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable and serve as backup to other members of the team
- Help management design/update policies and operating practices that comply with both employment laws and best practices guidelines
- Coordinate employee appreciation events and opportunities
We are looking for someone with a friendly, outgoing personality who enjoys helping others. This person must be equally adept at working independently to complete paperwork and reports on deadline.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an HR position
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Accounting degree a huge plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, calm demeanor
- The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Experience onboarding and supporting hourly workforces. A background in a manufacturing facility is a huge plus.
