UNDERSTANDING
The Human Resources Events and Onboarding Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of HR-related Events and the seamless onboarding of new employees. This position involves planning and organizing various HR events, such as orientation sessions, luncheons, and employee engagement activities. Additionally, the Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the onboarding process, assisting new hires, and fostering a positive introduction to the organization.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Reports to the Vice President of Human Resources
- Will interact daily with employees throughout the entire organization at every level
- Communicates regularly and has a strong relationship with team members in multiple departments
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and coordinate HR-related events, including new employee orientations, training sessions, workshops, and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure all events run smoothly by managing logistics, scheduling, and resources.
- Coordinate with external vendors to facilitate events.
- Guide new hires through the onboarding process, including paperwork completion, benefits enrollment, and introduction to company policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees, addressing their questions and concerns during the onboarding period.
- Assist with the creation of onboarding materials and resources.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, such as team-building events, recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Work to create a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters employee satisfaction and retention.
- Ensure all HR-related documentation, including onboarding forms and event records, are accurately maintained and compliant with legal requirements.
- Stay updated on HR best practices and compliance regulations.
- Assist in maintaining locker software, issuance and reporting, support locker inspections if needed
- Manage uniform account and employee issuance.
- Assist with preparation for all employee trainings (HR, Annual, and Leadership training)
- Lead philanthropic outreach efforts and promotions to ensure successful results
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience as an HR Onboarding Specialist or in relevantHR Role
- Hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation

- An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Great verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Must be detail oriented, professional, and discreet
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred
- Membership and Participation in SHRM is strongly encouraged
