General Purpose:
Ensure the HR department’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value
Main Responsibilities:
· Responsible for working with new hires in the pre-boarding and onboarding process to make sure all information is accurate and company is compliant with employment laws
· Monitors accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions and terminations
· Maintains employee files and records in electronic and paper form
· Monitors time cards for completion and accuracy
· Assists with weekly and bi-weekly payroll as necessary
· Prepares and/or reviews HR invoices for employee benefits – payroll, benefits, background checks, recruiting
· Assist 3rd party auditors with HR information needed for compliance reporting
· Answers benefit-related questions – coverage, leave, STD, FMLA
· Maintains employee handbook
· Updates company organizations charts

· Orders office supplies
· Ensures compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
· Assists with 401(k) plan administration – posting contributions, address changes, beneficiary updates
· Completes employment eligibility documentation, including background checks, I-9's and E-Verify in a timely manner
· Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate contact
· Compare and compile reports and documents for management as requested
· Partners with warehouse personnel for employee engagement activities
Job Requirements
· Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant Human Resources/administrative position
· Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Paycor
· Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and standards such as ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.
· Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel.
· Experience in benefits administration
· Excellent organizational skills
· Above average interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
· Ability to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism is needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
