Person County Government is recruiting for a Human Resources Coordinator. The employee in this position will perform administrative support work and coordinate various Human Resources programs. This individual will be responsible for coordinating new hire orientation, training, safety, morale and wellness programs. Work involves policy interpretation and assisting managers, supervisors, employees and external contacts such as vendors, insurance companies and contractors.

This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.

Graduation from a two-year college with a degree in Human Resources or business administration or related field and some experience in Human Resources and safety; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must obtain Notary within six months of employment and maintain active Notary. MUNIS software and NEOGOV experience a plus. Strong technology skills to create marketing advertisement preferred.Employment Type: Full-time
