Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Reporting to the Area Director of Human Resources. The Human Resources Coordinator will help organize, coordinate and carry out all human resource department projects and processes for the company. This includes the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented and most importantly, personable and approachable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Maintain the company’s calendar and schedule any meetings the Area HR director requires.
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, and recruiting.
- Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons.
- Track benefit plans, including health care, retirement, Workers Comp, etc.
- Provides support to Area Director of HR, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Execute all employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals and ensuring employee requirements and needs are met first.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in HR work.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism. Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand during entire shift. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
