Overview:
An HR/Credentialing Coordinator provides administrative assistance and verifies credentials in the healthcare industry. Their duties include keeping detailed records of staff documentation and training records, maintaining databases, and ensuring staff members are adequately and appropriately trained and credentialed to work in their chosen fields.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR/Credentialing Coordinator to join our team. As an HR/Credentialing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and credentials required by regulatory agencies and insurance companies. You will also recruit and interview candidates. This is a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of patient care and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Duties:
- Manage the credentialing process for healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals
- Collect and verify all necessary documentation, such as licenses, certifications, and malpractice insurance
- Conduct thorough background checks and reference checks on all providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider information in the credentialing database
- Communicate with providers to obtain missing or incomplete documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of credentialing process
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements related to credentialing
- Be able to recruit and remotely interview high volumes of Behavior Technicians
Requirements:
- Previous experience in credentialing or healthcare administration preferred
- Familiarity with managed care organizations and insurance company credentialing requirements
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and credentialing software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to recruit, interview and hire high quality candidates
