POSITION SUMMARY: Establishes, coordinates, and administers a community donations strategy that yields high-quality donations for Goodwill of Greater Washington. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Builds, maintains, and manages a donation program through community relationship building, including, but not limited to, retailers, commercial property landlords, residential property management agencies, and non-profit organizations.
2. Works closely with the DGR VP, the retail senior leadership team, and the transportation department to plan, coordinate, and lead donation-driven events and activities.
3. Responsible for securing mobile donation sites in accordance with GGW’s donation strategy.
4. Partners with the Development, and Marketing and Communications teams to create a holistic approach to building strong community relationships through external donation acquisition strategies, special events, and promotional opportunities, including event design, collateral design and distribution, and promotion.
5. Establish a strategy to acquire high-quality donations for e-commerce.
6. Provide frequent communication to the DGR VP on planned activities and metric-driven results.
7. Participate in strategic planning to develop a realistic budget and goals and monitor payroll and other expenses to ensure adherence to the allocated budget.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conduct site visits and attend donation drives and external donation events.
2. Tracks critical data relevant to donations' quantity, quality, and value and assists with data analysis.
3. Assist with creating standard operating procedures relevant to community events and follow up on implementing those procedures.
4. Other duties as assigned.
*This position requires using a personal vehicle for frequent travel within the DC Metropolitan area. Flexible work hours and the ability to work nights and weekends are essential to this position.

Required Qualifications:
1. Exemplifies Goodwill of Greater Washington’s RISE Values: Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
2. Minimum five years of experience in retail operations.3. Ability to interact professionally with individuals and customers at all levels both internal and external to Goodwill.
4. Demonstrated experience and ability to influence and negotiate internally and externally to achieve a set of goals.
5. Shows an understanding of key steps and strategies in promoting a case and persuading one or more groups to “buy in” to a particular course of action.
6. Demonstrated experience partnering with and/or building relationships within the community.
7. Experience with planning, coordinating and executing retail events
8. High school diploma
9. High level of organizational skills
10. Excellent communication skills
11. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
12. Ability to work and interact with staff at all levels in and out of the organization and to participate as a team player in project execution.
13. High degree of motivation and self-direction to define processes and meet goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
2. Property management or relevant experience.
