Shipco Transport is looking for a self-motivated individual with prior experience working in Human Resources in a temporary-to-permanent capacity. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment supporting the day-to-day administrative requirements of the entire HR Team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Assist managers with the hiring process.
- Data entry/upload employment records into HR database.
- Generate monthly reports.
- Process monthly vendor/accounting invoices.
- Perform background checks.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office to include advanced knowledge of Excel
- Proficient with ADP WorkforceNow HRIS
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a group
- Proficient with Visio and Canva
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in related field required
- Prior related office experience required

- Temporary with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.
