JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Executive Director (ED), the HR Assistant is responsible for accurately maintaining current employee personnel files, employee benefits, worker’s compensation records, and other applicable job duties assigned in accordance with Center standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain current and termed employee files and employee health files.
- Manage ATS (Paycor) & other pursue other recruitment avenues, as appropriate
- Coordinate interviews between hiring managers and candidates
- Organize New Hire General Orientation
- Process new & annual background checks, I-9 verifications, and OBRAs in a timely manner
- Process and report on the job injuries & maintain all Worker’s Compensation records
- Assisting prospective Nursing Assistants obtain proper education & licensure
- Oversee Safety Committee & Maintain OSHA compliance
- Oversee & actively participate in Employee Retention efforts
- Participate in QA committee
- Other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Strong organizational and interpersonal/teamwork skills to work effectively with VSO, departments, and administration
2. Knowledge of current state/federal laws and regulations that apply to employee relations, such as FMLA, FSLA, and L&I
3. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
4. Possess & maintain professional standards in all situations
5. Ability to lead by example
EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Office experience preferred.
