PNNL seeks a driven, energetic full-time Human Resources Assistant for the Human Resources Solutions Center (HRSC) to organize and execute work as a member of our HR Solutions Center team. We are transforming the way we do HR, delivering a high level of customer service, and providing our customers one place for most of their Human Resources needs. This is a Project Hire anticipated to have an assignment of 1 year.
The Human Resources Assistant will be primarily focused on the HR E-Records project scanning files into the electronic records system, ensuring quality of scanned documents, as well as other assigned duties. This position reports directly to the HR Solutions Center Team Leader.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite a schedule that supports operational needs at the direction of the HR Solutions Center Team Leader. PNNL core operating hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday - Friday.

- Prepares and scans files into the electronic records system, reviewing documents for quality and clarity. Ensures the security and confidentiality of all records.
- Triages requests received by the HR Solutions Center mailbox.
- Responds to email inquiries from staff and managers at all levels.
- Ensures that pertinent information is gathered prior to providing a response.
- Resolves questions and issues by accessing information in multiple systems including PeopleSoft and other internal systems.
- Processes HR related transactions by performing tasks such as collecting required information/documentation as needed from employees, managers, and/or others in HR; performing data entry; sending documents and correspondence; filing and other related tasks.
- Escalates customer inquiries to Tier 2 Subject Matter Experts (SME) and/or Centers of Expertise when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete work on-time and accurately.
- Ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII) and other information confidential.
- A positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others
- High school diploma/GED or higher
- An associate degree in human resources or related field.
- Human Resources administrative work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
