Salary: $22-26/hr DOE. Estimated 32-40 hour/week. Benefits include Washington State Sick Leave.
SUMMARY
Chelan County Natural Resource Department seeks 2-3 seasonal employee to assist with a variety of field work. Employment will run approximately July 1 through September 30, 2024. The position will work closely with Natural Resource staff to support monitoring and restoration efforts. This position works mostly outside and interacts with the public. Must be willing to drive, and may be required to use personal vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the Chelan County mileage rate. Essential duties include the following:
- Implementation of assigned field activities including riparian plantings and maintenance, weed control, mapping, photo points, temperature data collection, water quality sampling, hydrologic monitoring, data entry
- Operate GIS to perform data management, data upkeep and some data analysis
- Vegetation inventory, field surveys
- Project monitoring
