Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with various HR functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Human Resources practices and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
- Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date
- Assist with benefits administration changes, and terminations
- Assist with FMLA administration and other leave management processes
- Support HR projects such as performance management, employee engagement initiatives, and policy development
- Assist with employee relations matters, including conflict management and resolution
Skills:
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices and procedures
- Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Taleo, ADP) for data entry and reporting
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Associates degree in HR, Business or closely related field OR- equivalent experience and professional training.
Experience: 1+ years in an HR role in a manufacturing business
