Job Description
Rapid Industries is looking for a part-time HR Assistant to join their growing team! This is an entry-level position, requiring 20-30 hours per week. The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s HR department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assisting with weekly payroll including processing time cards, answering employee questions, fixing timeclock errors, and distributing checks/pay stubs.
- Providing clerical support to the HR Manager
- Assisting with weekly job costing and labor allocation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Perform periodic audits of employee files and records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local law.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to the proper employee/department.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient with, or have the ability to quickly learn payroll management, HRIS, and similar computer applications.
- Familiarity with Paychex Flex is a plus.
Experience:
- Entry-Level position
- Prior HR/Administrative Assistant experience is a plus.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
