Job Summary and Qualifications

The Human Resources Assistant will perform administrative and compliance tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
• Provides administrative support to the HR department.
• Assists with new hire orientation.
• Inputs data information into multiple state portals for employee requirements.
• Inputs data into the HRIS system.
• Assists with adding faculty to the nursing license site and tracking license renewals.
• Conducts audits of personnel files, term files, I-9’s and EEOC forms
• Assists with filing.
• Collects employee paperwork – job descriptions, PARS, etc
• Tracks completion of background checks.
• Assists with employee recognition events and similar programs.
• All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Education: Associate degree preferred, will accept work experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of Human Resources experience preferred and at least two years of administrative experience is required.

  • 2. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • 3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • 4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • 5. Proficient with or the ability to learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
• Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 1bs at times.
• Degree of Supervision: Minimal
