Shift:Primarily days with core hours from 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Additional hours required as workload demands could include some holidays and weekends.
Job Summary:STEPS Temporary Employment is a full-service, internal staffing solution for the University of Kentucky. STEPS is responsible for the recruitment, selection, and performance management of temporary employees throughout the University including UK HealthCare. This service center provides a valuable staffing solution to our institution by hiring over 1,200 employees per year and averaging 900 employees on payroll. This position will support the STEPS service center by completing administrative tasks to ensure all STEPS temporary employees remain in compliance with required trainings, orientation attendance, along with other aspects of their temporary employment assignment.
The STEPS Human Resources Administrative Assistant will be part of a dedicated team and directly responsible for ensuring compliance standards are met. This includes but is not limited to accurate STEPS temporary job creation, extensive reporting and analysis, as well as active dialog with hiring departments and STEPS team members. The role will also ensure all processes and standards around hiring and separation are met. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant is also responsible for staffing the STEPS Temporary Employment reception area, greeting customers in a courteous and professional manner.
Strong customer service skills attention to detail, advances Microsoft Excell skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:Associates degree and 4 years related experience.
