Lake Whatcom Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team. The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department and assist with various HR functions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be proficient in HR software systems, and have a passion for supporting employees.
```Duties:```
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding process, including posting job openings, and conducting background checks
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HRIS systems
- Assist with employee orientation and ensure new hires have a smooth onboarding experience
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and answering employee inquiries
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing documents, preparing reports, and organizing meetings
```Preferred Requirements:```
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an HR administrative role
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
