Job Description
Are you reliable, have great work ethic and good interpersonal skills? This is an entry level position. We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to be part of the HR team in our Corporate office. Position is hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days remote but during the training, the person needs to be in the office from Mon - Fri) This position will report to the Director, Benefits. The person will be responsible to:
- Provide essential support to HR department in their day-to-day operations
- Perform basic clerical tasks
- Respond to employee inquiries and directs to appropriate resources
- Provide backup to Benefits and Payroll departments
- Audit (Benefits, Payroll, Affirmative Action)
- Record scanning and retention
- Maintain and update HR databases, trackers and reports
- Distribute employee mailings and legal notices
- Process invoices
- Data entry (Benefits and Payroll)
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have a High school diploma/GED
- Have at least 1-2 years of administrative support experience; HR experience a plus
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with using HR and outside software/websites
- Possess strong communication skills both verbal and written; and people skills
- Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Exhibit flexibility, the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
- Showcase speed, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work under deadlines
- Be dependable with great work ethic
