Responsibilities:
Hires, trains and supervises staff
Assist with the development and implementation of academic and other support services
Coordinate and submit needed reports
Develops and implements strategies to improve the project’s operations and compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Develops and implements tutoring, FAFSA, college admissions, college visits and other activities for students
Responsible for compliance in record keeping, purchasing, cost, and internal and external reporting
Complies and maintain reports requested by organization and funding source
Communicate project objectives throughout the organization, target schools and communities
Create/maintain network throughout the target area which serve similar student population
Maintain contact with target school administrators, staff, students and parents
Oversee record keeping and ensure project compliance
Create/maintain network throughout the target area which serve similar student population
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, counseling, social service or relevant academic discipline
3 years previous experience involving TRIO programs or other programs providing assistance to students from under-served populations
Experiencing managing grants
Ability to develop and implement academic and other support services programs to assist students from under-served populations
Knowledge of the college admissions, application, and FAFSA process
Knowledge of academic, economic, social and cultural needs of disadvantaged students
Ability to utilize technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and prepare narrative reports
Demonstrate excellent oral and written skills to interact with broad range of individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds
Excellent organizational and budget management skills
Demonstrate leadership and communication skills to create a cohesive and effective work environment
Must be flexible and a team player
Available to work on occasional Saturdays (typically once per month)
Ability to pass CPS background check
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation REQUIRED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
