HSNT is currently in need of a full-time, onsite Human Resources Administrative Assistant. The HR Administrative Assistant position will be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Director of Human Resources. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas including, but not limited to: recruitment/employment, onboarding, offboarding, policy implementation, payroll, benefits, risk management, employee relations, performance management, and employee law compliance.
The HR Assistant position operates as an integral part of the HSNT support team in a fast-paced environment, within a non-profit, community healthcare setting. We treat patients from all walks of life-regardless of socio-economic status-for a wide range of acute and chronic physical, mental, and social health conditions and in collaboration with a team of medical professionals. HSNT is passionate about providing care, education, and resources in a community health setting to patients and families that have very limited options for their medical needs.
A day in the life of our HR Administrative Assistant may look like this:
- Assists in the day-to-day operations of the HR Department by providing administrative support of HR and related functions.
- Provides oversight and support to full spectrum or recruiting functions, particularly onboarding.
- Oversees and/or supports HR systems or processes and various employment information such as new hires, terminations, disciplinary documentation, and leave of absence. Supports workflows and processes for all related HR functions and ensures accuracy.
- Assists all employees with HR inquiries or requests.
- Documents HR-related meetings.
- Upholds and demonstrates HSNT mission, vision, and established policies at all times.
- Assists in various special projects and committees, serves as the chair of the Employee Appreciation Committee.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
We ask our HR Administrative Assistant to possess a minimum of:
- Education: High school diploma, some post-secondary training is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 year’s Administrative Assistant experience supporting Executive level management.
- Minimum of 1-year supporting or performing Human Resources functions in a professional, corporate capacity.
- Experience in health care, social services, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Must be comfortable working in a busy environment with frequent disruptions at different medical centers within the DFW area.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities of the ideal candidate include:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly skilled in writing clear and concise communications for various communication tools, including print and online.
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills with above average attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment in decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by the ability to achieve results through collaboration with management team and peers.
- Strong business acumen and high level of professionalism.
- Ability to effectively multi-task projects.
- Advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research.
- Must have proven skills in working independently, self-motivated, goal oriented, strong initiative, and be a self-starter.
- Ability to adapt easily and multitask in changing and busy environments.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, and work under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to relate to individuals from a variety of racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural/socioeconomic backgrounds, including various sexual orientations.
- Ability to travel to all HSNT Medical Centers.
