Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the daily functions and tasks of the Human Resource (HR) department including, but not limited to, recruitment and hiring support, benefits administration and leave, employee relations, training, and development, and ensuring company policies and practices are being following consistently across the portfolio.
- Performs administrative tasks required to support and execute Human Resource programs, including but not limited to, new hire orientation and onboarding support, benefits administration, performance and talent management, exit interviews, employee inquiries and training and development.
- Provides oversight and support of recruitment and hiring practices across total portfolio. Ensure communities are sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates in a timely and consistent manner by working closely and in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance in regard to mandatory training and continuing education.
- Be a dedicated advisory source for employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and community leadership in areas of policies and procedures, grievances, benefits, and all other employee-relations matters. Refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Advises employee and members of leadership on interpretation of personnel policies, programs and procedures.
- Conducts and complete employment eligibility verifications as requested.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Human Resources Director
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least one year of Human Resources management experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- SHRM or PHR certification a plus
To fulfill job requirements, employee must be able to perform key physical task for extended periods of time. Employees must adhere to proper body mechanics and safety measures when supporting or transferring residents. In a typical eight- hour day, employee will:
