Summary of the position
The Andretti Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource department of the growing Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, including administering onboarding, benefits, & leave, updating the ATS, HCMS, and communicating and reinforcing company policies and practices.
This is a full time, salaried, in office position at the Marietta, GA support office. The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources.
Some of the overall responsibilities:
- Conducts and interprets background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Partners with hiring managers and senior HR leadership to complete projects and handle administrative duties.
- Generate new job descriptions per the Andretti standard.
- Develop and implements employee recognition programs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Take on longer term Human Resource related projects that lead to the development of the department.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Implements new hire orientations.

- 3-4 years' experience in Human Resources in a large small business or a mid market business.
- Strong written and verbal business communication skills
- Strong internal customer focus combined with a desire to collaborate with others
- Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
- Experience with HRIS/HCMS.
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple and simultaneous projects.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Eligible to work in the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- 5+ years experience in an evolving environment, to include a rapidly growing company.
- Family entertainment center, hotel or large-scale hospitality operational experience
- SHRM CP or SCP strongly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
