Human Resource Assistant- Payroll Specialist
Parts ASAP is a rapidly growing organization and the largest supplier of used, new and remanufactured tractor and combine parts in North America.
Parts ASAP is looking to add a Human Resource Assistant to our growing Human Resource corporate team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate initiative, drive, and the ability to work in a team environment.
The Human Resource Assistant will process payroll and assist with all necessary Human Resources functions to support all team members and leadership of the organization. This is an on-site role.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Computes and transmits manual payroll data for exempt and non-exempt employees utilizing ADP software to produce accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for multiple locations, throughout multiple states.
- Assists managers with hiring and termination processes.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date Human Resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Completes all requests for employment information from banking institutions and government agencies.
- Supports the administration of employee benefits.
- Tracks various Human Resource tasks including (but not limited to) midyear reviews, annual reviews and bonuses.
- Handles administrative support of handbooks, company policies, and job description updates.
- Reports/tracks worker accidents/injuries and compiles information for OSHA reporting requirements.
Required skills:
- Associate degree in Human Resources, or equivalent experience in Human Resources.
- Proven experience in processing payroll, with a strong background in ADP software.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Advanced experience with Word, Excel and computerized payroll systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and adapt to change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Proficient with ADP Human Resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
