HRIS & PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

The HRIS & Payroll Administrator supports our vision Empowering Generations, Transforming Communities through primarily being responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, HRIS administration, team member records and license management, policy interpretation and administration, and reporting audit, compliance, HR metrics, dashboards, and analytics. This position will report to the HR Manager and assist in office administration, team member inquiries, performance management, and participates in credit union-sponsored activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as primary point-of-contact and subject matter expert for timekeeping and payroll matters.
  • Compiles, processes, and approves team members' time, deductions, repayments, and payroll data in dual control.
  • Ensures team members are paid accurately and on time.
  • Performs and inputs salary adjustments, promotion, and transfer information.
  • Manages user access for timekeeping system and provides end-user training and technical support.
  • Maintains and updates team member records within the payroll, HRIS and performance evaluation systems ensuring data accuracy for related audits and reporting.
  • Administers Synergy/Optical electronic filing system, ensuring timely and comprehensive upload of team member documentation.
  • Administers onboarding of new hires including E-Verify, I-9 documentation, employment eligibility verification, required state reporting, and IT ticketing set ups as well as participates in new team member orientations.
  • Performs team member offboarding including IT tickets, separation notifications to stakeholders, and HRIS data management.
  • Designs, implements, and analyzes reports to determine the overall trends of the organization including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for HR department utilizing metrics, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Performs vendor data file uploads, compliance tracking, BLS multi-worksite reporting, worker's comp reporting, and general audit support and responses.
  • Completes employment verification requests, promptly corresponds to unemployment inquiries, and coordinates department emails.
  • Orders and distributes name badges, business cards, annual compliance posters, and other office supplies.
  • Attends meetings timely and as required; reports to work as scheduled and adheres to First Commerce's appearance guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with payroll, HRIS records and database, compliance and/or auditing and reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel and ADP Workforce Now
  • Proficiency in database management and record keeping.
  • Proficiency with accurately executing numerical calculations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of payroll and HR administration required as well as various employment laws and practices.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner while maintaining highly confidential and sensitive data and records with discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to travel to multiple Financial Center locations within credit union footprint.
  • Ability to keep up with contemporary market trends regarding HR technology and work independently with minimal supervision.
