Summary
As a Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of Payroll and administering employee benefits programs. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, requiring attention to detail, compliance with relevant regulations, and effective communication with both employees and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Administer health/welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through Payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate recordkeeping and proper deductions. Reconciles benefits statements.
- Administer 401k plan, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Process required documents through Payroll and 401k provider to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Other duties may include compiling annual census data, assisting with 401k audit, and filing Form 5500.
- Respond to participant questions related to benefit program offerings.
- Create and manage user profiles for internal database and benefit administrative systems. • Assist with coordination of benefit educational meetings.
- Work with integration teams on carrier integrations between benefits and payroll platforms.
- Process and reconcile semi-monthly payroll, including additional and adjusting payrolls as needed.
- Maintain and update Paycor payroll earnings and deduction codes.
- Assist with payroll tax and worker's compensation setup and maintenance.
- Respond to data requests for salary, benefits and payroll-related information for budgeting, proposal, and other government submissions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience administering Payroll and Benefits programs required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in payroll processing and Benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Proficiency in Payroll and HRIS systems; experience with ADP, Paycor, or similar platform is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA requirements.
