RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process payroll for all restaurant-based employees by calculating payable hours, bonuses, and ensuring tax withholdings and deductions are accurately configured.
• Monitor changes in payroll-related data, prepare changes, corrections, and/or adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain payroll records for all employees (i.e. pay rates, direct deposit, deductions, tax documents, etc.)
• Verify submitted payroll information for proper account codes, pay rates, and related data.
• Responds to and resolves any inquiries from employees regarding payroll-related matters.
• Assist employees in completing necessary payroll documentation and forms.
• Ensure internal controls are met for to ensure payroll accuracy for each pay period.
• Collaborate with the HR department to ensure all necessary employee paperwork is completed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
• Proficiency Excel/Google Sheets and payroll software programs.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
