HR and Payroll Administrator

The HR and Payroll Administrator reports to the HR Director and plays a critical role in the experience ofnearly 220 employees across Southwest Florida. As the new hire orientation and Payroll leader, the HR & Payroll Admin sets the tone from day one of employment and supports the staff throughout the employee experience. The HR & Payroll Admin should be proficient with technology, thrive in fast-paced work environments, act with a high sense of urgency, successfully juggle multiple tasks, and ensure that information is accurate, compliant, and swiftly managed. The ideal candidate wants a career in HR or Payroll and is willing and excited to learn from the groundup. The role will be in-office five days a week with Englewood as the home office and regular travel to Bonita Springs (mileage reimbursed).
Here are a few ways the HR & Payroll Administrator impacts the employee experience:
Manages the weekly payroll processing for three companies in compliance with company policies, and state and federal guidelines through the third-party provider Paylocity
Manages the new employee onboarding experience including but not limited to new hire orientation, benefit portal administration, equipment, and uniform(s)
Ensures the digital employee files in Paylocity are up-to-date, complete, and compliant
Ensures that Payroll and HR-related systems including but not limited to Paylocity, Employee Navigator, Benefit, and Retirement are up-to-date and compliant
Manages the termination process for employees, including benefit enrollments and termination letter preparation
Handles the unemployment claims, employment verifications, insurance claim processing and maintains Risk Management Center data
Soundly understands all company offerings including but not limited to benefit programs, retirement, PTO, policies, and procedures
Reviews and reconciles monthly invoices and feels comfortable collaborating with vendors
Leads various HR projects and other duties as assigned by the Director of HR
Seeks to learn all facets of Human Resources including but not limited to; payroll, HR
Technology, benefits, compensation, vendor management, employment law, employee relations, and compliance
Acts with the highest level of integrity and professionalism
Demonstrates the ability and desire to take on more responsibility and grow in the HR or Payroll Profession
To have a successful career with Grande Aire Services, the HR & Payroll Administrator must:
Have at least one year of professional experience, ideally in Payroll or Human Resources
Work autonomously and have the natural curiosity to find the root cause and a compliantsolution for daily challenges
Feel comfortable meeting strangers and talking in front of others
Act professionally, and deliver superb customer service to both internal and external customers, even in stressful situations
Possess high empathy and enjoy helping employees with diverse needs
