Manage the full-cycle recruitment and selection process in a timely manner, including creation and management of job requisitions, advertising, applicant screening and interview coordination, background screening processes, hiring and on-boarding candidates. Ensure interviewers are properly trained, and that candidates have a positive experience during site visits.
Responsible for compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements; stay abreast of legislation changes that affect the HR employment function. Respond to unemployment claims and draft Department of Labor inquiry responses. Responsible for government reports, including EEO-1, and internal Sustainability reporting. I-9 compliance, and records retention and maintenance.
Facilitate new-hire orientation sessions monthly.
Manages temporary/contract worker program and employee uniform program.
Develop relationships with external organizations, post-secondary/vocational institutions, military and community organizations and community advocates, schools and other interested parties to identify and develop candidates for intern or full-time vacancies. Responsible for setting up an ongoing college recruiting program and building ongoing relationships with the colleges.
