Position Overview
We seek a skilled and experienced HR Generalist/Recruiter to join our small exterior restoration company. As an HR Generalist/Recruiter, you will play a crucial role in attracting, selecting, and onboarding talented individuals who will contribute to our company's growth and success. You will be responsible for managing the recruitment process, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, and providing valuable HR support to our team.
1. Recruitment and Selection:
Actively participate in the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates for various positions within the company.
Develop and maintain, effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Utilize various recruitment channels, such as job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks, to promote job opportunities and generate interest.
Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including evaluating resumes, conducting interviews, and checking references, to ensure the best fit for each position.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their needs and requirements, and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
2. Onboarding and Orientation:
Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing offer letters, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into their roles.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to new hires during their initial period of employment.
3. HR Policies and Procedures:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain and update the employee handbook, ensuring all policies are clear, concise, and easy to understand.
Advise management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and performance evaluations.
Prepare and analyze HR reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Assist with benefits administration, and other HR-related administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the construction industry
Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and techniques
Familiarity with HR policies and procedures in the construction sector
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of construction-specific job boards and industry networks is a plus
