Job Description
The Human Resources (HR) team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. The HR Generalist will support the General Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. They will assist in executing personnel procedures, policies and provide guidance and interpretation for select business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Role and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the General Manager with business operations that include, HR processes,payroll, recruiting, onboarding, training and development of all employees.
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to policy development.
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
- Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and ongoing reports for company requirements.
- Ensure the business stays OSHA and HIPAA compliant year-round.
- Enforce health and safety precautions which includes, EH&S initiatives
- Prepare paperwork and schedules for smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
- Be the primary keeper for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, benefits changes and monitor Deputy Time and Attendance.
- Monitor our HRIS System BambooHR
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Proven success working in an HR department
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment
- Business and executive acumen
- Benefits administration
- Full-cycle recruitment and onboarding
- People operations and employee engagement
- HRIS and Payroll in BambooHR and Deputy Time and Attendance preferred
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft software preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
