RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
Cultivate a positive workplace culture through effective employee relations strategies.
Contribute to performance management processes, supporting employees in achieving their full potential. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Strategic HR Leadership:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align HR practices with overall business strategy.
Provide guidance on organizational development, workforce planning, and employee retention initiatives. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Develop and execute effective onboarding programs to ensure a seamless integration for new hires.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
HR Metrics and Analytics:
Utilize analytical skills to assess HR metrics, identify trends, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on HR analytics insights. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, keeping policies and procedures up-to-date.
Implement and communicate HR policies that foster a fair and inclusive workplace.
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist. At least one year must have been spent at a non-corporate location and in a manufacturing-type environment.
Proven experience as an HR Generalist, showcasing comprehensive HR knowledge and hands-on experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Analytical mindset with the ability to translate HR metrics into actionable insights.
