Position Overview: As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a vital role in the HR department, overseeing various aspects of human resources management within our manufacturing facility. You will work closely with employees and management to support HR functions and foster a positive work culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs.
Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Employee Relations:
Act as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
Mediate and resolve employee disputes and conflicts.
Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and assist in the development of training programs.
Coordinate and facilitate orientation and on-the-job training.
Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
Assist employees with benefit inquiries and enrollment processes.
Keep abreast of changes in benefits regulations.
Performance Management:
Assist in the performance review process.
Support supervisors and managers in setting performance goals and expectations.
Provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
Compliance and Policy Management:
Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Keep records and reports related to HR activities.
Health and Safety:
Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to promote a safe workplace.
Assist with accident reporting and workers' compensation claims.
HR Administration:
Maintain and organize employee records.
Generate HR reports and metrics for management.
Assist with HR-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus).
3+ years experience as an HR Generalist in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of TX HR laws and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
