Hr Generalist

We are looking for an HR Generalist who can provide professional and administrative support for HR functions. This will include employee relations, training management, HRIS reporting, compensation, leave of absence/workers compensation, safety, records management, policy and procedure, training, employment law, and organizational development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Acts as HR Business Partner for the assigned business unit, performing daily administration of HR functions and Training Coordinator

• Initiate, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with managers, community.
• Works with other HR team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility.
• Performs transactions in HRIS, ensuring accuracy of data entry and generation of reports.
• Provides managers and employees answers to questions related to company policies and procedures and basic benefits-related inquiries to ensuring employee compliance.          
• Partners with Environmental Health & Safety and internal team to promote a safe working environment.
• Assist in employee relations issues, including investigations, development of performance improvement plans, and conducts involuntary terminations, as well as exit interviews for voluntary resignations.
• Assist with employee recognition, awards, processing bonuses and promotions.
• Assists with performance management and employee relation concerns conduct full scope investigations as needed and prepares employee corrective actions and performance improvement plans.
• Responsible for planning and implementing employee retention initiatives and employee engagement activities.
• Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the department and to enhance the overall workplace culture.
• Responsible for Training and various training tools utilized within Kratos, responsible for working with committee to develop and approve training, assigns training, runs training reports, ensures compliance, participates in internal and external audits, and maintains records.
• Processes Education Reimbursements, tracks information, submits forms to Payroll and maintains records and spreadsheets.
• Member of and active participant in the Kratos Equality, Diversity and Inclusion meetings and efforts to drive culture.
• Member of and active participant in the Mentorship program on behalf of HR.
• Maintain personnel files and other Human Resources records.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• B.S. degree in a related field, preferably in Human Resources Management or Administration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an HR Generalist and at least 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Professional HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) desired.
• Must possess broad human resources generalist experience, to include a working knowledge of employee relations, compliance, employment law, compensation, and benefits.
• Experience with HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, and timekeeping systems. Deltek, Costpoint and ADP Vantage preferred.
• Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience required.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of versatility and flexibility: possess superior interpersonal/consulting skills.
• Must have effective interpersonal and customer service skills and able to interact with all levels of employees and management.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and possess and maintain a high level of professionalism. 

Salary Range:  $70,000 - $80,000
