- Oversee and support new hire onboarding for the region, ensuring that new hire 90-day evaluations are completed
- Manage employee recognition program
- Support the People Operations team with employee benefit questions, new hire enrollments, and ensure site compliance
- Inform payroll of all pending terminations
- Ensure that site managers complete and return termination paperwork for all exiting employees in a timely manner and notify all necessary parties (i.e. fleet, IT, payroll, benefits, AR/AP)
- Complete exit interviews with all employees when a resignation notice is received
- Inform each site of any corporate change to ensure proper communication and alleviate concern
- Submit position backfill requests, following proper procedure and confirming requisition criteria
- Assist site managers with verbal and written warnings, ensuring company, state, and federal regulations are enforced
- Support the Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) with site recruitment efforts, conducting cadence meetings with the TAS
- Attend Career Fairs with site managers when needed
- Partner with local Technical Schools and colleges to create a talent pipeline in conjunction with assigned TAS
- Request grade/skill progression and new hire performance-based increases by adhering to Compensation Change Request Procedure and working with site managers, regional teams, payroll, and the HQ Approval Committee
- Submit lateral job changes (dept, manager, location) to payroll
- Ensure all personal and employment information for each employee within the region is setup correctly within ADP
- Support each location with Performance Enablement and Pay For Skill reviews, ensuring they are completed on time, follow company standards, and proper 1-on-1 employee meetings are completed
- Support service centers with Community Outreach events when needed
- Support the People Operations team with Open Enrollment, conducting presentations and enrolling employees
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5+ years experience working in a human resources capacity preferred
- Proven experience as an Human Resources Generalist or in a similar role
- In-depth understanding of human resources principles, practices, and regulations
- Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations at local, state, and federal levels
- Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR-related software
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- English/Spanish bilingual a plus but not required
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
