Job Description
We are seeking a Payroll Clerk / HR Generalistto join our team! This position will perform administrative duties to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's payroll and human resources department.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Driver Qualification Files
- Manage and ensure random drug tests are completed.
- On-board and train new employees
- Submit and maintain payroll via Paylocity. Other payroll functions include answering questions from team members, fixing processing errors, and insuring payroll is complete and accurate.
- Maintain accurate human resources records and documentation.
- Answer frequently asked questions from team members as they pertain to standard policies, benefits, etc.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of payroll, driver's qualifications and human resources files.
- Provide management with requested reports and documents.
- Accurately maintain employee files
- Track employee attendance.
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as open enrollment and parties.
- Track FMLA and ADA
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate's degree in related field or prior experience in Human Resources and/or Payroll.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Ability to build rapport with all team members
- Ability to complete a task from start to finish
