Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains employee personnel files, including training, compliance records.
- Review timesheets for hourly employees to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Facilitate all benefit related activities, including open enrollment, new hire enrollment and employee status changes.
- Recommend and interpret company policies, ensuring practices comply with State and Federal employment laws.
- Administer compensation programs for employees including job analysis, compensation reviews and performance review systems.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Facilitates background checks and employee eligibility verifications in conjunction with the new hire onboarding process.
- Administer leave of absences including FMLA, ADA, and Workers Comp leaves.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Manages and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement events.
- Collaborate with Finance team to create and maintain headcount budget and HR expenses.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
