HR Coordinator – Recruiting
$22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Non-Exempt/Hourly
Full-Time – 40hrs/wk (some OT may be required)
Mon-Fri
Duties:
• Support recruiting function by scheduling interviews, coordinating site visits, and providing follow-up on candidate status. Represent company at job fairs and other recruiting events.
• Assist with resume screening. Continually acquire knowledge of company’s various positions.
• Post new positions to internal and external resources. Utilize social media to communicate positions and attract candidates.
• Work with on-site staffing firm representatives on staffing related initiatives. Grow relationship with state agencies, colleges/trade schools, military placement resources, and other recruiting resources.
• Update applicant status codes in HRIS system based on resume screening and supervisor feedback.
• Prepare offer letters and packets to selected candidates.
• Schedule drug screens and enter background checks (when applicable).
• Assemble new employee paperwork and benefit packets and assist with new employee orientation. Will conduct new employee orientation once comfortable.
• Process new hires by reviewing paperwork, system entry, E-Verify, and employment file creation.
• Support HR team when needed by compiling information for various management reports using Workforce Now and Excel. Examples include vacation and sick usage, turnover statistics, hours worked, and benefits enrollment. May help collect information for federal reporting.
• Assist with entering various personnel changes into ADP Workforce Now.
• Work with department staff and other departments on a variety of projects.
• Provide support to HR management, benefits, and payroll staff when needed. May back up HR Administrative Assistant when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Capable of learning new computer software and systems.
• Able to handle highly confidential information with maximum discretion.
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Customer service orientation and ability to interact positively with HR’s customers at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be resourceful and comfortable collecting information from internal and external contacts. Capable of making common sense decisions using available information.
• Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate information clearly and accurately to internal staff and external contacts.
• Able to remain calm and professional in occasionally difficult situations and / or with difficult people. Must effectively interact with all levels of company personnel.
• Continually acquire knowledge of the company’s various positions to grow into the primary recruiting resource.
Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Experience:
• Knowledge of ADP systems such as Workforce Now and eTime
• Experience with MS SharePoint and PowerPoint
• Education and/or experience in a HR related field
• Knowledge of engineering related positions
Schedule: 8am-5pm
