Job Description
As an HR Coordinator operating out of our Charlotte, NC branch, you will be responsible for administrative aspects of HR as it relates to safety and compliance. You will act as a liaison between administration, operations, sales, and transportation to support workers compensation, safety, contractor management, and compliance initiative. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing and communicating all workers compensation cases with employees, medical providers, insurance company, consultants, and other third parties.
- Managing portals for safety compliance organizations to meet customer needs.
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer packets to ensure timely processing and completion (i.e., supplier forms, request for proposals, special background requirements, etc.)
- Managing the Certificate of Insurance process, in partnership with our insurance company.
- Maintaining required federal, state, local, and customer required data and reporting, including OSHA logs, DOT, EEO, insurance, and other related items.
- Responsible for policy and procedure management, and recordkeeping for HR, safety, fleet, and other related items to meet company guidelines and accessibility.
- Managing data and developing functional reports in HRIS for HR and safety-related items.
- Performs internal audits in HR and safety systems, identify gaps and works with management to create a solution.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources or administrative experience; background with project management, contracts, insurance, and/or safety preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, safety, insurance, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with and provide customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with advanced Excel experience; UKG Pro (formerly Ultimate Software) HRIS experienced preferred.
