Hire Ventures is a boutique human resource consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta that works with small to medium-sized companies often in the tech space. Since 2001, we have provided human resource and recruiting services focusing on finding and keeping talent in an ever-changing, complex world.

Our services are more ideal than ever for companies that may have human resource or recruiting needs but may not have their own full-time resource. Given the need for this type of service, we are adding to our Human Resource & People Ops Consulting team. 

The ideal person for this role will be a proven self-starter looking for flexibility in their schedule who is passionate and experienced in various areas of HR & People Ops. Ideally, this person is someone who has worked in the day-to-day delivery of HR in a solo HR position with a growing company.

What you will be doing:

• Providing exceptional HR support to our clients and delivering in various areas of the employee life cycle, acting as an extension of their in-house team to help with onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, leave management and employee exiting.
• This role will handle transactional HR work for our clients, specifically processing payroll, benefits administration, processing leave requests, new hire onboarding and employee terminations or off boarding.  There may also be some project-based work like HR Audits, updating policies or employee handbooks to support the changing organizational needs.
• HR is complex, so you’ll need to stay up to date on the latest HR practices to ensure compliance with various state and federal employment law.
• HR projects may also include digging deeper into various HR challenges our clients face, updating related content for the website, writing blogs, and sharing over various social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Supporting the growth of Hire Ventures and our internal team; participating in team meetings as well as collaborating with other members of the team in a virtual capacity. Telling the Hire Ventures story via LinkedIn and other social platforms to strengthen the Hire Ventures brand.

Minimum requirements include:

• This position is located in Atlanta and will be a hybrid role, working out of our office at Atlanta Tech Village
• Must have 5+ years of progressive and relevant HR experience - payroll, benefits & early-stage tech, or small-growth company experience a huge bonus.
• Multi-state HR compliance expertise, including California REQUIRED
• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or relevant and equivalent experience
• HR Certification is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, be motivated, articulate, and make sound decisions under the position guidelines - in a positive, results-driven, and forward-thinking manner.
• Should have an active presence in the professional world, especially on LinkedIn.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the following:

• Ability to communicate with a variety of people in a polite and professional manner, with a strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, business writing knowledge a plus.
• Knowledge of human resources either from courses or working experience.
• Must be coachable and have a strong desire to learn with a growth mindset and love of technology.
• Be a good team player yet able to work independently with little instruction or supervision and with a high degree of trust.
