Job Responsibilities: Working in tandem with HR Manager and SR HRBP on the following:- Talent development and review activities.
- Wage administration.
- Performance review systems and processes.
- Department and plant tasks and engagement activities and events.
- Coordinate and manage hourly staffing via direct hire and staffing agencies.
- Enter, track and report out various data and KPI information.
- Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees as needed.
- Conflict resolution and or investigations as needed.
- Support a positive employee environment; including building strong, effective relationships with leaders and team members and maintaining positive employee relations.
- Educate leaders and employees on human resources policies and practices while also ensuring leaders are knowledgeable of tools available to them.
- Initiate, coordinate, and drive accountability with project, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Act as primary contact for employee relations issues/resolutions for responsible employee population.
- Familiar with federal and state regulatory requirements to support the business success.
- Administer new hire orientation, benefit programs and provides guidance and recommendations regarding escalated benefits and pay issues.
- Apply continuous improvement mind-set to all activities, including process and system improvements and automation.
- Experience with payroll processing and timekeeping systems.
- Other duties as assigned
- B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field (org development, etc.)
- HR certifications preferred, but not required
- Minimum 2 years general HR experience (manufacturing - preferably automotive - can be union or non-union)
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws and government regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with payroll and timekeeping, recruiting, and benefit plan software processes and programs (Kronos, ADP, Taleo, Success Factors, PeopleSoft, etc.)
- Experience in recruiting, administering new hire orientation, managing and coordinating activities with staffing agencies
- Strong abilities with employee relations, problem solving, investigations
- Ability to work varied hours as needed in 24/7 operation
- Open to future relocation preferred but not required
- Attention to detail; understand the importance of data accuracy and integrity
- Sense of urgency and used to a fast paced environment
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
