POSITION:Human Resources Business Partner

LOCATION:New York City, NY

HOURS:Full time

COMPENSATION: $100,000 - $120,000 (Commensurate with Experience)


ABOUT THE POSITION

The Ambassador Theatre Group, an established global live performance venue management and production company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful company in a unique industry.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, focusing on HR operations, and Benefits Administration. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, implementing HR initiatives, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish trusted, collaborative, responsive and influential relationships with leaders, managers and employees across the organization.
  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and talent development.
  • Develop and implement efficient HR processes to streamline workflows and enhance overall HR service delivery.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements, working with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Work closely with managers to identify areas for improvement and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in the HRIS.
  • Regularly update and communicate HR policies and procedures, providing training as needed.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and facilitate open enrollment processes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the annual open enrollment process with the HR team.
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors to resolve issues, ensure accuracy, and optimize service delivery.
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator to Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, and other statutory leaves.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
  • Partner with department heads and venue leaders to facilitate the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.


EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Manager, Generalist or Business Partner.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex HR projects and initiatives in a rapidly scaling, multi-state environment.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now or UKG a plus.
  • Experience with Union collective bargaining agreements.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Outgoing and positive attitude complemented by a professional demeanor.
