The Impact:
The Global HR Business Partner within the Ratings business will provide strategic HR direction and consultation to the global Commercial and Analytical, Research, and Operations teams to ensure that we are delivering on our talent strategy, achieving business results, and driving organizational effectiveness. This person must have the ability to partner with senior business leaders, COEs, global shared services and external resources to drive human capital plans and programs in a complex environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the global Commercial and Analytical, Research and Operations departments for S&P Global Ratings. This role will help direct and drive the talent strategies to achieve business results, ensure alignment with priorities established by the Ratings executive team, and support and drive organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leaders to define needs/opportunities, identify solutions and develop action plans and mobilize resources needed for execution. Be able to flex, as needed, to changing needs or direction in response to overall business requirements.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing effective challenge to get to the most impactful outcomes.
  • Work with leaders on organizational restructurings, ensuring compliance with all legal and policy requirements.
  • Partner with leaders on people planning and development processes and strategic workforce design including organizational structures, needed capabilities and expense objectives.
  • Provide leaders and managers with consultation and coaching on organizational and people issues. Align resources to address organizational and people-related issues, as required.
  • Support year-round initiatives connected to: Succession Planning, Performance Management, Talent & Development, High risk employee relations and People Rewards.
  • Participate/lead in divisional or People initiatives and projects, as needed, to achieve desired organizational or strategic results.
  • Partner and effectively collaborate with all areas of People function (Recruiting, Rewards, People Relations, Benefits, and Global Mobility) and Ratings Learning team to ensure a cohesive approach and speak with "One" voice from a client/People Partner perspective.
  • Develop programs and strategies that are aligned to business objectives and deliver solutions to enhance our value and position in the marketplace.

Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $97,200 to $175,650. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in a Global environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Ability to work in a complex and highly matrixed environment, including being skilled at influencing senior leaders across the organization
  • Ability to influence at peer group level without having direct management responsibility; being able to work in a flat organizational structure that requires agility
  • Ability to work effectively across teams, foster inclusivity, overcome resistance and navigate a complex organization
  • Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships with senior leaders
  • Advanced problem-solving skills. Able to quickly identify and understand issues and drive towards effective resolution

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aptitude to communicate and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, strong prioritization and organization skills
  • Advanced communication skills. This includes the ability to simplify complex concepts and messages to the essential components and deliver these effectively to a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to use data to tell a story that can influence senior leaders
