Job description

The Human Resources Business Partner (Compliance) is responsible for delivering Compliance strategy and service in alignment with business objectives for operating divisions and Corporate business areas. Assists in the evaluation of applicable laws and regulations while serving as a Business Partner to senior leadership to prevent, detect and correct non-compliance, and to identify and propose actions to mitigate risks. Works across the HR team partnering with HR Business Partners (HRBP) and HR Centers of Expertise (COE), with other organizational stakeholders such as Legal, Risk Management, Finance, Information Systems, etc. as well as external vendors. This position reports to the Sr. Analyst/HR Compliance.

POSITION DIMENSIONS

This position is not responsible for people or budgets. The incumbent frequently exchanges information with all levels within the organization, outside vendors and consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS

There are clear precedents and practices that the incumbent uses as guidelines to determine how this job is performed. This position requires a minimum of three years of relevant work experience plus a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities. 

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides expert HR consultation on the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures, provides risk analysis and decision support as needed
  • With direction from the Sr. Analyst/Compliance communicates and implements annual HR processes and corporate HR initiatives in assigned operating divisions and business areas 
  • Assists with HR continuous improvement processes, tracking methodologies, internal controls, tools, forms, templates, checklists, and reporting to ensure compliance with government agencies and all other HR-related laws and regulations (e.g. I-9 employment eligibility verification, ERISA, ACA, FLSA, HIPAA, census reporting, immigration visas, temporary workforce, etc.) are maintained in accordance with government laws and regulations and internal company policies and procedures
  • Supports Sr. Analyst in compliance-related reporting (e.g., AAP, EEO-1, VETS 4212, SOX, etc.) in coordination with external vendors, HRBP's, HR COE's, and HR leadership
  • Administer the Company drug & alcohol compliance program including random drug testing and pre-employment screening and maintaining vendor relationships
  • With leadership oversight and input works with Sr. Analyst to improve internal compliance controls
  • Stays abreast of local and federal employee-related legislative and regulatory developments
  • Under the direction of the Sr. Analyst, works with stakeholders to facilitate and ensure effective compliance-related training content and role-based delivery; recommends updates to compliance training programs
  • Facilitates the Company immigration program
  • Contributes to and/or manages assigned projects and programs
  • Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

SALARY DETAILS

$66,722 - $100,082
