Job Overview:
We are seeking an HR Business Partner to drive dynamic change and support continued business growth at LPL! The HRBP will support our leaders in the execution of our business and HR strategies. This role provides consultation and coaching to leaders on performance management, talent management, engagement strategies, and compensation issues in partnership with other teams within the Human Capital organization.
Responsibilities:

  • Work on the development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and practices in support of company and client group business plans in the areas of performance management, leadership development, workforce planning, compensation, talent management, change management, employee engagement, retention, professional development, culture, and diversity.
  • Actively manage performance management needs, escalations, and follow-up with managers and leaders to ensure consistent oversight and appropriate documentation.
  • Advise business leaders on both strategic and tactical plans to support their business goals.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams and assignments as necessary, often partnering with Compensation & Benefits; Talent Development; Learning Delivery; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging; Talent Acquisition; HR Ops, Systems & Analytics; Corporate Real Estate; and Corporate Communications
  • Act as the voice of the internal client to facilitate improvements to LPL's HR policies, benefits, initiatives, processes, etc.
  • Responsible for providing overall Human Capital leadership: focusing on employee engagement and offering support, coaching, mentorship, feedback, and development to business leaders.
  • Provide creative and innovative solutions to the business on complex problems.
  • Identifying and acting on key metrics for decision-making
  • Prepare and maintain materials to support initiatives across the client groups.
  • Develop methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects, working closely with the HC Workforce Analytics team and other partners.
  • Identify, prepare, and conduct training as needed.
  • Actively participate in various projects in support of Human Capital strategy
  • Interacts with employees, managers, and leaders across two business units. Will regularly partner with other areas of Human Capital including Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Talent Development, Learning Delivery, Talent Acquisition, and Corporate Real Estate. May interface with external agencies (employment, governmental), and internal and external counsel.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5+ year's professional level experience in Human Resources

Core Competencies:
  • Proficient in HR Generalist skills such as Employee Relations, Talent Development, and Project Management.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws essential
  • Microsoft Office Products proficient
  • Human Resource Management Systems - proficient
  • The position interacts with employees and leaders from client business units. Will regularly partner with other areas of Human Capital including Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Talent Development, Learning Delivery, Talent Acquisition, and Corporate Real Estate. May interface with external agencies (employment, governmental), and internal and external counsel.
  • Must be extremely organized, self-motivated, and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times when dealing with personnel matters.
  • Successful candidates will possess superior consultative and influencing skills, superior verbal/written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and project management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, work on multiple priorities, work independently and as a team in an ambiguous and dynamic environment.

Preferences:
  • Experience working within the financial services industry or supporting a non-exempt organization.
  • PHR or SPHR
  • SHRM or Sr. SHRM

Pay Range:
$97,680-$146,520/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
