As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Sr. ManagerHR Business Partner to join our dynamic team. This role provides support, recommendations and coaching to all levels of the organization in the areas Benefits, Compensation, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Talent Management and Safety. Collaborates with various vendors on Human Resources programs and benefits. Manages and implements various HR projects and programs. Provides support to management on special projects.

ROLES & RESPONSILBILITIES

  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees.
  • Collaborates with global and regional leadership to plan, organize and control activities and strategic direction of the department. Participates in developing department goals and objectives in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Implements and annually updates the compensation program; updates job descriptions as necessary; develops recommendation for merit budget; analyzes compensation trends; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements HR-related company policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures;
  • Works with the management team on various employee relations issues, including performance management, compliance investigations and corrective action. Conducts investigations as necessary and takes appropriate action(s) based on company policy/practice. Consults with Legal to ensure compliance.
  • Identifies talent needs and development gap and provides training/development programs for AESC employees. Implements various facets of the company’s talent management lifecycle, including performance management, succession planning and employee engagement.
  • Serves as the AESC benefits administrator and works closely with outside vendors as the key point of contact to the company. Manages all aspects of vendor relationship including contractual compliance, performance standards monitoring and reporting, identification and resolution of trends and issues, implementation of services and management of projects/day-to-day interactions. Works with vendor companies to approve invoices for payment and conducts annual re-evaluation of policies/program for cost-effectiveness.
  • Working with talent acquisition team, provides oversight and management of the overall recruitment efforts for all exempt, non-exempt and contract employees; reviews, approves and assists in writing advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; makes compensation recommendation on job offers.
  • Conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars. Maintains organizational charts and employee directory.
  • Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the organization.
  • Serves as an advocate to develop the AESC corporate culture, ensuring an environment of positive employee relations while helping to build a positive employer brand.
  • Serves as the lead on internal communication for the organization. Working with the AESC leadership team, develops on-going and consistent communications to employees on a variety of operational topics.
  • Collaborates with Operations on the administration of the Safety Program.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. May perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

  • A minimum of ten years of increasingly responsible Human Resources experience, including at least five years of leading a team of HR professionals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline preferred. Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, CCP, etc.) is highly desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state regulations. Broad understanding in various aspects of Human Resources management and administration. Experience in supporting the operations across various levels and functions. Background in supporting a highly technical automotive-related manufacturing environment is highly desired
  • Working knowledge with MS Office Suite, ADP
  • Experienced in working with global organization with multinational Business Partners
  • Experienced in large scale HR projects
  • Experienced working in startup/ greenfield environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
