We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Clerk to join our Human Resources department. As an HR Clerk, you will provide administrative support and assist with various HR tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of HR processes and documentation. Your role will contribute to the smooth operation of the HR department and support the overall HR function within the organization.
This is a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing and collecting required documentation.
- Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Performs a variety of HR compliance functions (i.e. training management; leave management, background checks, drug screens, E-Verify) timely and accurately
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing accurate and timely information or directing them to the appropriate resources.
- Assist with the preparation of HR-related reports, presentations, and documents as required.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure HR compliance, creating and revising processes where needed
- Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with HR practices.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, data entry, and for the HR department.
- Other duties may be assigned as the workload necessitates.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in Human Resources or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with HR processes and basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize high volume tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Customer service-oriented mindset and the ability to effectively respond to employee inquiries.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing HR practices and technologies.
