Definitions
To perform daily assigned tasks, that could include collecting trash, linen and bio-hazardous waste throughout the hospital, vacuuming all carpeted corridors, cleaning entrances, project work that is assigned, dust mopping hallways, and mopping hard floor corridors. May be asked to perform EVS Patient Associate duties. Always be aware of surroundings, stop and ask if visitors appear lost or confused. Escort visitors to area they are going.

Functions
Area of Responsibilities
Perform assigned project work in a timely manner.
Daily vacuuming of all carpeted corridors within the hospital.
Collecting trash and linen.
Daily cleaning of entrances and limited areas of parking lot.
Collecting bio-hazardous waste and placing in boxes for outside pickup.
Dust mopping and mopping ground floor corridors, emergency room waiting area, labor and delivery hallway on a daily basis, and stairwells on an as needed basis.
Cleaning any carpets or chairs that may be soiled.
Participate in any non-medical emergency codes that may be called within the hospital.
Assist with any department moves within the hospital.
Work isn't subject to direct verification errors can include lost or wasted materials damage and neglect to equipment delay in work.
Plan and prioritize work schedule daily.
Daily cleaning of assigned areas, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, etc.
Perform any additional assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Take an active role in customer satisfaction.
Job requires contact with others. teamwork and ability to obtain cooperation.
Observe and report any deficiencies of equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
Maintain assigned equipment and set-up area for cleanliness and safety.
Assist in any emergency spill observed or upon request.

Compliance Statement
