Salary: $140K to $150K + Bonus DOE

What You Need to Know
Associate Executive Director Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Hospice is in compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local laws. Ensure the completion, maintenance, and submission of all required reports and records to Federal, State, Joint Commission and Local regulatory departments. Maintain Joint Commission accreditation, when applicable, and maintain a state of survey readiness.
- Manage the overall financial performance of the program which includes oversight of all controllable costs. Manage the office administration functions of the hospice program. Participate in the annual development of the program's budget. Consult with and supporting managers and employees in areas such as performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
- Counsel and coach managers to manage their staff effectively and successfully through the identification and resolution of actual and potential employee problems.Maintain ongoing liaison with the governing body, staff members and the community. Assist the governing body in formulating and annually reviewing the Hospice's policies and procedures.Maintain a current organizational chart which identifies the lines of authority from Governing Body to the patient care level.
- Employ qualified personnel who meet the requirements of written job descriptions of the Hospice in alignment with the staffing evolution guide. Ensure that orientation of new staff is provided. As well, provide regularly scheduled in-service education programs and opportunities for continuing education for the staff which covers the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of hospice patients and their families during the final stages of illness and during dying and bereavement.
- Familiarize all employees, as well as contractual providers, with the philosophy, goals, policies, and protocols of the Hospice. Oversee the maintenance of appropriate personnel records, administrative records, vendor and facility contracts in alignment with all policies and protocols of the Hospice. Has authority for the management of the business affairs and overall operation of the Hospice.
- Collaborate with HR Recruitment to ensure that staffing goals are consistent with patient care goals. Collaborate with Education to ensure that employees, as well as contracted providers, are familiar with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the hospice program, and that their competencies and evaluations are properly maintained.
Qualifications
Associate Executive Director Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or professional licensure in the field of nursing or human services preferred.
- At least five years of management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Meet the regulations and requirements of the State in which the program provides services
